Academic Support Programs for Law Schools

Practical Academic Support Services ("PASS") provides comprehensive training and support, partnering with law schools to assist students, faculty and administrators alike to meet the complex demands of legal education in the 21st century.

By contracting independently with the experts at PASS, law schools can quickly, easily, and inexpensively multiply the quality programs they currently offer with a myriad of professional and student support—from new and first-year orientations through bar preparation and job placement services.

To help students excel in law school, pass the bar, and become accomplished lawyers in their communities, the PASS menu of services currently offers the following high-quality support programs and consultation services:


Student Services

First Year Support.
Ongoing training programs with extensive feedback (by email, phone, and in person) in essay writing and multiple choice testing, outlining and visualizing comprehensive organizational approaches to substantive course materials.

Advanced Student Support.
Seminars specifically designed for upper division students to teach self-evaluation tools, reinforce positive study habits, analytical and writing skills, and to break students of any inadvertently formed bad habits. Emphasis on practice writing and multiple choice exams with group and individualized critical feedback.

Performance Test Workshops.
Introduction to performance testing, the practical component of the bar exam, through hands-on seminars for second-, third- and fourth-year students. Emphasis on the requisite legal analysis, factual analysis, professional responsibility and problem solving skills tested; also includes simulated practice exams and graded feedback.

Bar Review Preparation.
Lecture and workshops in essay, multiple choice and performance test strategic approaches, including full simulated bar exam administrations with graded answers calibrated to bar standards.
